How do they differ and what are their goals?
We are a country, and have always been, a country of immigrants and ethnic and religious pluralism. Religion may or may not be part of of our lives. Religion has been a personal choice guaranteed in the freedoms of the Bill of Rights. We have counted on the promise of a government of laws, impartial justice, representative government, and choice of our leaders, until now, when those promises are beginning to look like vaporware.
The goals of Project 2025, figuring prominently at the national level, is also at work at the local level because that is where local religious congregations meet. Christian dominance of government, family, media, education, arts and entertainment, business and religion is sought by the New Apostolic Reformation and Christian Nationalism. The Seven Mountains mandate of the New Apostolic Reformation aligns with the areas of Christian influence promoted in Project 2025.
Let me assure you it is not all churches, just like it is not all politicians, who are proponents of these goals. But you need to know who and where they are. Vote informed, your vote counts.
Cal Anderson Park Revisited
Yes, this is an event in Seattle and not Snohomish. But the guy on the right In the image above? That’s Snohomish’s very own Pursuit NW Church pastor, Russell Johnson. So one must assume he is planning on being there.
Immediately after our first post on the Cal Anderson Event for 8/30, the afternoon Seattle Times published the article you see at left. Clearly the decision preceded my post; it was the article that followed. You can read the article on line.
